A Major Achievement for the International Cooperative Movement<\/p>\n

A major global achievement for the Indian cooperative movement was recorded in the election held in Panama.<\/p>\n

In a significant development for the international cooperative movement, IFFCO Chairman Shri Dileep Sanghani has been elected as a Director (At-Large Director) of the Global Board of Directors of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA).<\/p>\n

As soon as Shri Dileep Sanghani was declared the winner, a wave of enthusiasm and pride swept through the Indian cooperative delegation present in Panama. The members collectively raised the slogans of \u201cBharat Mata Ki Jai\u201d and \u201cVande Mataram,\u201d filling the entire auditorium with patriotic spirit.<\/p>\n

The chants of \u201cBharat Mata Ki Jai\u201d and \u201cVande Mataram\u201d resonating on foreign soil reflected the growing stature and influence of India on the global cooperative platform.<\/p>\n

The election, held during the ICA General Assembly in Panama City, marks a proud moment for India\u2019s vast cooperative movement. This achievement further strengthens India\u2019s growing role, influence and leadership in the global cooperative sector.<\/p>\n

Shri Dileep Sanghani has been associated with the cooperative sector for several decades and has consistently worked towards the empowerment of farmers, the rural economy and cooperative institutions. He currently serves as the Chairman of IFFCO and GUJCOMASOL and has held important responsibilities in several national and international cooperative organisations.<\/p>\n

The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) is the world\u2019s leading global cooperative organisation, representing cooperative institutions from different countries and regions. India\u2019s representation on the ICA Global Board will further strengthen the voice of the Indian cooperative movement on the international platform.<\/p>\n

Shri Sanghani\u2019s victory also reflects the global recognition of India\u2019s cooperative movement and the vision of Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji of \u201cSahkar Se Samriddhi\u201d (Prosperity through Cooperation). India is today presenting a new model of economic and social empowerment of farmers, rural communities and ordinary citizens through the cooperative movement.<\/p>\n
